3/14/2012 - Scheduled Maintenance COMPLETE : Exchange 2010 Service Pack 2 was successfully installed on Central Exchange servers during the planned maintenance window on 3/14. Exchange was available throughout the maintenance period, but some e-mail clients may require a restart to reconnect to Exchange. Also, mobile devices may have prompted users with a message stating something along the lines of Your Exchange server requires that you enable security to continue synchronizing. Do you want to continue?". If prompted, it is safe for users to click "OK".
3/8/2012 - Scheduled Maintenance for Central Exchange - Wednesday, March 14 - 8:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.: During the maintenance window, we will be installing Exchange 2010 Service Pack 2. Exchange should remain online throughout the maintenance window but some e-mail clients may require a restart to reconnect to Exchange as servers are rebooted. Mobile devices may prompt users with a message stating Your Exchange server requires that you enable security to continue synchronizing. Do you want to continue?" - or something similar, depending on the phone and carrier. If prompted, it is safe for users to click "OK".
9/21/2011 - Exchange Search Update: We are continuing to work with Microsoft Support to resolve ongoing issues with Exchange Search which prevent users from obtaining accurate and complete results when attempting to search their mailboxes from within Outlook or the Outlook Web App. If you are experiencing this issue, we first recommend that you contact your local IT support technicians to have them enable Cached Exchange Mode in your Outlook profile - which has the effect of configuring Outlook to use your local workstation to search your mailbox. You can use the following instructions to verify that your computer is configured correctly to do this. Configuring Windows Search Indexing Options in Windows Vista and Windows 7. Alternately, you can contact ExchangeHelp@colostate.edu to request that your mailbox be altered such that search will begin working immediately from within Outlook. If you opt to request this, be aware that search will no longer work from the Outlook Web App without taking the steps we have documented at the following link. 9/9/2011 - Exchange 2010 SP1 Update Rollup 5: Update Rollup 5 for Exchange 2010 SP1 will be installed on Central Exchange servers on Tuesday (9/13) starting at 9:00p.m. Exchange will remain online during the installation of the update but users may be momentarily disconnected as Exchange servers are rebooted.
9/9/2011 - Exchange Certificate Renewal: A new mail.colostate.edu Exchange Certificate will be installed on Monday (9/12) after 5:00pm. The new certificate replaces the existing certificate that expires later this month.
8/2/2011 - Exchange Search Problem ONGOING: The fix acquired from Microsoft and installed late last week did not resolve the search problem as originally thought. We are actively working with Microsoft to find a permanent resolution for this issue.
7/28/2011 - Exchange Search Problem Update: We have installed an update obtained from Microsoft that resolves the search problems that were reported by some users. As part of the fix, search indexes must be rebuilt on the Exchange servers. That process should be complete by Monday, August 1.
7/22/2011 - Exchange Search Problem: Some users have reported problems with the search function of Outlook and Outlook Web App not returning results or returning partial results. We are aware of the issue and are working with Microsoft to resolve the problem.
